Bank of America May Owe America Some Bank
02/28/2011... Bank of America may find itself in troubled waters as it is being sued by investors
who are asking that the banking giant buy back mortgage loans and pay damages on the homes
that they illegally foreclosed on. In addition the Obama administration is seeking $30 billion
in fines from banks like Bank of America to settle similar state and federal claims
pertaining to the illegal foreclosures. As for the financial hardship that Americans have
faced in recent years due to the foreclosures, it appears that the Bank of America may have to
share in the collective pain of their namesake.

South Korea Attacks North Korea... With Balloons and Pamphlets
02/24/2011... South Korea has begun a new campaign against it’s arch-nemesis to it’s
north. It is sending over the border balloons filled with pamphlets detailing the recent
revolutions in the Middle East, as well as much needed food. The campaign is aimed at
enlightening the people of North Korea, who live essentially in isolation from the rest of the
world, about the recent events in the Mideast, with the hope that they too will take similar
actions against their own oppressive government. It is unclear exactly what the message is
that is being sent, but considering that the people of North Korea have been taught their
entire lives that their neighbors to their south are controlled by the “American
Imperialists” and not to be trusted it is doubtful that the balloons and informative
pamphlets will have much impact on the world's most insular group of people.

Loch Ness Monster Discovered...
in England?
02/19/2011... New photos have surfaced of England's lesser known aquatic monster,
“Bownessie”. 24 year old Tom Pickles was kayaking on Lake Windermere as part of
his company’s team building exercise, when he and his kayaking teammate saw something
that resembled
a seal, but was shaped “like no animal they had ever seen.” Tom quickly snapped a
photo of the beast, the photo showing 4 hump-like shapes coming out of the water. Ecologist
Dr. Ian Winfield says that echo-sounding scans are done on the lake every month, and that
nothing resembling a large sea creature has ever been discovered, but Pickle’s somewhat
grainy out-of-focus cell phone photo begs the question, “Well what is it
then?”

2012 Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum Has a Google Problem
02/16/2011... Former Republican Senator Rick Santorum, who is considered by many to be a Republican
presidential candidate in the 2012 elections, has a bit of a problem with Google. In 2003
American sex-advice columnist Dan Savage decided to “memorialize” then Republican
Senator Santorum by creating a new definition for his name. He encouraged his readers to
submit possible definitions, and eventually the definition of, “A frothy
mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex.” was
settled upon. Now a Google search of Santorum’s name brings up the sexual
neologism as the top search over even the Senator’s own website.
Savage’s actions were in direct response to Santorum’s statements which asserted
that consenting adults do not have a constitutional right to privacy regarding sex acts, and
that homosexual sex should be grouped together with child molestation, incest, and bestiality.

Diet Coke Causes Stroke?
02/10/2011... Researchers from the University of Miami have compiled data to show that
the consumption of diet sodas leads to a heavily increased likelihood of stroke. The study
followed 2500 people for nearly a decade and analyzed their health as it relates to their
choice of food and drink. Those who drank diet soda were 61% more likely to experience a
stroke. The sweetener Aspartame (also known as Nutrasweet or Equal) was pointed out as the
stroke-inducing ingredient. Following the release of the researcher’s data, there
have been increased calls to ban Aspartame.
